‘Exogeinos’, showcasing a custom Damascus Steel pattern flowing across the blade in a bright hand-rubbed mirror finish. Crafted with ancient meteorite deriving from the St. Aubin meteorite from France, its structure consists of iron and nickel formed over millions of years that truly sets it apart from many iron meteorite species; being one of the few meteorite specimens out there with one of the largest natural gold concentrations, featuring the beautiful cross-hatched pattern on the pommel only formed in meteorites… Taking billions of years to create, through a process of cooling from a liquid to a solid in the vacuum of space. Named “‘Exogeinos”, from the Greek translation of “Extraterrestrial being”; paired with a handle hand-carved to create an otherworldly aura, heavily inspired by the fantasies of space and otherworldly life; mirroring that of an ancient relic of history…
Nicely weighted and comfortable in the hand, the blade balances just inside the finger groove. The blade holds a nimble rocking motion and comfortable grip, built for both artistic fashion and useability for environments such as working the hardened sharp cutting edge in a culinary setting.
The Meteorite
The blade is crafted with the 4.5 billion year-old meteor, the St. Aubin, discovered in Aube Champagne, France in 1968. Found while farmers were ploughing their fields, it was later studied to have high concentrations of gold (AU 79), and imacted Earth over 50,000 years ago… Featured in a carefully carved “face” to feature into the pommel of the handle, and etched to reveal the ancient crystalline structure within the raw, otherworldly alloy.
Included is a signed Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) and custom-forged stand for displaying of the piece.
